Brussels, Belgium, March 17, 2011, - CERTPOINT Systems™ chairman Constantin Ohanian will keynote the iVentiv European Learning Technologies Executive Knowledge Exchange, exploring how tablets such as the iPad 2 will transform workplace performance. The talk will explain why tablets are more than just a fad, and how managers and e-learning professionals will have to change as a result. The plenary session will open the second day of the event, Tuesday March 22nd.

“Tablets liberate employees from learning huge amounts of information in case they need it,” says Ohanian, “Instead they make it possible to access that information when it is needed, in context, with the support of rich social media.”

“To succeed in the future, L&D will have to re-examine its approach to capturing, codifying, distributing and evaluating learning,” says Ohanian. “We have to step back and re-examine the basis of instructional design in the corporate environment. We will need to move from teaching detail and measuring retention, to providing on the spot performance support within a conceptual framework and measuring results in terms of business outcomes. This is the challenge of learning in the workplace today.”
